Ask your best man.
Less awkward than saying it over a pint, and he gets something to show people.
What they will see
A letter for
Sofia
There is a question inside
- The No button runs away, which is usually the part he screenshots.
- There is always a real way to decline, so the joke never traps anyone.
How it works
Four steps, and nothing for them to download.
1
Write your question
Pick the occasion, type the question, add a note if you want one. It takes about a minute.
2
Send the link
Copy it and paste it into WhatsApp, iMessage or Instagram. Nobody has to install anything.
3
They open the envelope
It arrives sealed with their name on it. They tap it, it opens, and your question is inside.
4
They answer
Yes is easy. No runs away. Either way they get a card they can screenshot and send back.
Before you send one
The things people check first. Short answers, all of them true today.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Making a letter, adding photos and a song, and seeing whether it was opened are all free.
- Do they need an app or an account?
- No. The link opens in whatever browser their phone already has, inside WhatsApp, iMessage or Instagram too.
- Does the link preview give the question away?
- No. The preview card in the chat shows their name and nothing else. The question stays sealed until they open it.
- Can they actually say no?
- Yes. The No button runs away a few times, which is the joke, and then a real no is one tap away. If they say no, you see it in your overview and nothing else happens.
- Can I see whether it was opened?
- Yes. You sign in with your email to make one, and your letters page shows when each was opened and what they answered.
- Can I take it back?
- Yes. Take the link down from your overview and it stops working straight away.
- Is there an ad?
- Yes, and they are what keep it free: around the form while you write, and sometimes one with a cross to close it on the way into a letter.
