Terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
These are the rules for using Diginotes. They are short because the service is small.
What Diginotes is
A free tool that turns a question into a link you can send. You keep whatever you write. We only store it so the link works.
What you agree not to do
- Do not use it to harass, threaten, frighten or humiliate anyone. This is the rule we enforce most strictly, and breaking it gets your letters taken down without warning.
- Do not impersonate someone else or pretend a letter came from a person who did not send it.
- Do not send letters to people who have asked you to stop contacting them.
- Do not use it for anything illegal, for spam, or for anything sexual involving minors.
- Do not try to break, flood or scrape the service, and do not create letters automatically.
Reporting
Every letter has a report link. Anyone can use it, with or without an account. We look at what is reported and take down what breaks the rules above.
What we promise
Honestly, not much: this is a free service offered as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available or that a link will keep working. We will not deliberately delete your letters, but you should not treat Diginotes as the only copy of something that matters to you.
Taking things down
We can remove a letter or close an account that breaks these rules. You can delete your own letters at any time from your letters page, and you can ask us to delete your account by writing to hello@diginotes.net.
Which law applies
Dutch law applies to these terms and to any dispute about them.
